Well, it was going to happen sooner or later, but with the difficulty (no actually more likely as a inconvenience) of keeping costs down, it was only going to be a matter of time. After surveying as many people as I could for this implementation, I thought of some reasonable pricing that shouldn't be that big of a deal to most people. The idea behind this was to have the organization pay for itself, which is natural for any organization.
Here is the catch though: As a contractual agreement that I am bounded by with Funimation, ADV, Right Stuf, Media Blasters, I cannot charge an admission fee for these official events, which would have made things super simple because I could have easily charged $5 per head. However, what I can do is charge a membership for up to a year to as less as 3 months. The only difference is that we will be charging by the attendance, instead of being time based.
For example, if you you purchase 3 events of membership, and you miss the next event due to an unforeseen circumstance, you still can come to our events!
Here is the bottom line guys:
3 events for $20 ($6.66 a month)
6 events for $30 ($5 a month)
12 events for $45 (3.75 a month)
To Pay:
We can accept cash, check, or money order at the beginning of any of our meetings. Please make check or money orders payable to: "Network of Reading Otakus c/o Jimmy Raxasena"
We can also do PayPal as well. Feel free to make your payment online at anytime from our "Donation" button from our main website. Please enter the appropriate amount, and you're good to go!
Implementation:
I hope to start this when June comes around for our next event (06.06). Therefore, if you pay between now and June 6th, it will be good from the June 6th date. For example, if you pay for 3 months, you will be good til the end of August; if you pay for 6 months, you will be good til the end of November; etc.
